“Telangana Shines with Progress and Pride”: National Leaders Extend Greetings on Statehood Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also joined in commemorating the occasion. In his message, he highlighted Telangana’s contributions to national progress and the central government’s efforts to improve lives in the state.

On the occasion of Telangana Statehood Day, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar lauded the state’s progress and cultural vibrancy, extending warm wishes to its people on Sunday. Celebrated on June 2, the day marks the formation of India’s youngest state in 2014.

Taking to social media platform X, Vice-President Dhankhar praised Telangana’s achievements, saying, “Heartiest greetings to people of Telangana on the Statehood Day. Known for its resilience and its distinct cultural identity, the state has exemplified remarkable progress across various sectors, underscoring its commitment to development and welfare. May the state and its people continue to thrive, achieving greater heights in the years to come.”

“Greetings to the wonderful people of Telangana on their Statehood Day. The state is known for making innumerable contributions to national progress. Over the last decade, the NDA Government has undertaken many measures to boost ‘Ease of Living’ for the state’s people. May the state’s people be blessed with success and prosperity,” the Prime Minister posted on X.

President Droupadi Murmu emphasized Telangana’s rapid development and cultural strength, stating: “Warm greetings to the people of Telangana on Statehood Day! This young State has a rich cultural heritage and a vibrant modern ecosystem of economic and technological development. I wish that Telangana’s people march on the path of progress and prosperity.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also shared his message in both English and Telugu, commending the people of Telangana for their industriousness and cultural legacy.

“On Telangana Statehood Day, warm greetings to our brothers and sisters of the state. With its rich culture, heritage, and hardworking people, Telangana shines brightly on India’s ethnocultural map. May the state reach new heights of prosperity.”

Telangana was officially carved out of Andhra Pradesh on June 2, 2014, after a decades-long movement for separate statehood. K. Chandrashekar Rao, leader of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), became the first Chief Minister after his party secured a majority in the inaugural elections. Since then, Telangana has emerged as a dynamic state, with rapid strides in infrastructure, technology, agriculture, and industry.
